The songs of a particular era can nearly transport the listener back in time, enabling them to encounter the collective soul of a people perhaps not so different from themselves.

Our programs--a combination of lecture and performance--make this connection, placing great American songs within their historical context.

Since 2003, we have presented hundreds of programs at libraries, historical societies, retirement communities, and have also participated in special events such as Forest Park's DesPlaines River Anthology, Oak Park's Nineteenth Century Children's Day, Naper Settlement's Civil War Days, The Ernest Hemingway Birthplace Home's Boxing Day celebration, and the Pillars of Honor's Day of Honor for World War II Veterans.
